Product: HP 14 inch Laptop PC 14-ep0000 (730S3AV)

A few months ago I was told by a respresentative Sony headphones including mine (XM4 soon to be XM5) were not compatible with my HP laptop which uses windows 11, at this time all windows was freshly updated and rivers were all installed and reset so were working fine, my laptop connects fine to other things like a speaker of mine however playback on my headphones has delays and it results in smooth audio then random bursts of silence, an example was today I played a 3 minute song on my latop and counted the pauses of silence in it, in total 32 seconds of the 3 minutes was silence, without the headphones the laptop works fine, and my headphones work wonderfully on everything else, just wanted to confirm if sony headphones work or not because if not I may be getting a new different branded pair, any reccomendations are appreciated too
