HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c1000 (4B770AV)

I let Avast One update my drivers, and now there is "no audio device is installed." Pretty sure I had Realtek.

No device appears in device manager, it's just completely gone. I came to HP to re-download the driver, but they've all failed to install. I'm sure it's my version or something. What are my options?

The only suggestion I can offer if you have the system restore utility enabled, would be to use the system restore utility to restore the PC settings to an earlier date before you did what you did.

Recommendation:  Never allow 3rd party software programs to update your PCs drivers.

Most of the time they end up doing what happened to you.

You can still use the good old System restore and create restore points that might help you in case of problems
