This sounds like a plausible fix and has worked for others, where everything else has failed ... I have the same issue but do not quite understand the steps necessary for the fix .. 'unpack it' don't know what this means or how to do it ... in Device Manager (do what?) ... then do what with Intel high definition? I really need this fix but just don't understand exactly what to do!!
Download the driver > unpack it into a folder with an unpacker like 7-Zip > in the Device Manager >Intel High Definition DSP > Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Browse button and select the folder with extracted files from the CAB file > OK > Next > Close
Sometimes a restart is necessary afterwards.
