Hi hello~
My laptop is HP Laptop 15s-eq2xxx, Ryzen 5 5500U, and I make simple music as Youtube content (YourEverydaySanta).
Before upgrading, I used to record on an old Dell Latitude E6510, with the guitar amplifier connected to the mic jack. Here does work too, however, the audio seems to get cut instantly, and does sound muffled. I had the same problems when it comes to voice recording, but most of the time it gets fixed. I tried everything, from recording with a mic, plugging the amp directly, using soundboards, and even using the pre-installed microphone array; it just doesn't record acoustics properly.
Anyone out there who also records music, I would like to ask for advices
Thanks

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Laptop the audio seems to get cut instantly.
I have a few recommendations
- Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
- Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
- Try and check with alternate USB or Wi-Fi headphone if issue persists.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Good day @Dilip_18!
Yes, I've actually considered buying those USB audio jacks, as I've assumed that most USB Audio adapters have their own soundcard.
I'll also take into consideration of your recommendation to update the BIOS, and as for the Windows and HP Support, I'm pretty sure they're up to date, but I'll double check it too.
'preciate the help! Stay safe
