Hi @umairwaseem

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the concern. If the audio stops working repeatedly and only returns after restarting the device, while the built-in troubleshooter is also not responding correctly, it may be related to the audio driver, audio service, or a system component that is becoming unresponsive.

To help isolate the issue and provide the most suitable guidance, could you please share:

  1. What is the HP product model?
  2. Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?
  3. When the audio stops working:
    • Does the speaker icon show a red X?
    • Does it say "No audio output device installed"?
    • Or does everything appear normal but there is simply no sound?
  4. Does the issue occur while using specific applications (Teams, YouTube, games, etc.) or randomly?
  5. Have you already tried any steps such as updating drivers, reinstalling the audio driver, or running Windows Update?

Also, when the audio fails again, please let me know if Device Manager shows any warning symbol next to Sound, video and game controllers.

Once I have these details, we can narrow down whether this is an audio driver crash, Windows audio service issue, or another hardware/software-related condition.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
