I'm awaiting their reply as the solution needs to be validated by them before I could have it sent out,

 

To ensure I'm providing a total fix, I would request you to wait for another 72hrs while I reach out to them.

And Keep you updated about the same.

hi @Lcajal,

 

It is April 2019 for me and i have this same issue with a slightly newer model HP Omen Laptop, not sure of you fixed this issue yet.. Here is how i fixed it:

 

Step 1: Go to device manager

Step 2: Go to audio inputs and outputs

Step 3: Right click "Speaker/Headphone" and disable device

Step 4: Without re-enabling the device restart your laptop

Step 5: After restart, go back into device manager and enable that device. It worked instantly for me.

 

Hope this works if you're still having the issue!!

 

@Jeet_singh for future reference, also note your HP Omen laptops are still having this exact issue.
