HP Team and Community Experts,

Audio output is low on an HP 1040 G4 with Conexant ISST. The audio driver is up to date. Windows 10 is up to date. Audio settings are set correctly.

Other end users report same issue. I have seem recommendations to update the audio driver but having tried that, I can safely say that is not the issue.

So, what is the problem and how do we fix this?

Please Open HPSA and check. HPSA updated Conexant ISST on my machine 2 days ago

Regards.

@ Banhein,

Sorry, did not understand your instructions. What is HPSA?

If you are referring to the support area, I did go there, I downloaded the latest Conexant audio driver which I believe was dated 2020 but it did not work, In fact I had NO audio at all after I installed the audio driver from the support site and had to roll back.

I am probably misunderstanding what to do. Please be very specific and provide all steps and any URLs.

thanks

michael
