Product: HP Envy

My HP Envy randomly shut down and when I turned it back on, the sound and microphone would not work. It says "A Conexant audio device could not be found. The application will now exit". I have downloaded the audio driver that was posted on another thread with this same error, but it did not work. I have also tried updating the driver and it said it has the most current version. HELP! My son needs to use the sound and mic for his online schooling.

  • What is the product number of your computer?
  • What is the operating system you are using?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
