You're very welcome.
Try the card reader driver directly from Realtek.
Download, unzip and run the setup application from the 1st file listed at the link below...
If you haven't found the driver for the unknown device, please post the hardware ID for it, so I can figure out what driver it needs.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

Hi:
Looking at the screen shot you posted, the onboard IDT audio chip has probably failed as it is not listed under the sound, game and video controllers device manager category.
Without a driver, you should be seeing a plain HD audio device listed there.
Plug in a set of headphones, and if you get no sound, then the audio chip is toast.
For the Network Controller, you need this driver...
This package contains the Intel Wireless Drivers and Intel PROSet for the Intel Wireless LAN Adapters (see Devices Supported) in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. Intel PROSet includes Intel "My WiFi" functionality.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp57001-57500/sp57090.exe
For the PCI Device, you need this driver...
This package contains the driver that enables the Realtek Card Reader in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The card reader enables users to read from or write to supported removable storage cards, which are typically used in digital cameras, digital music players, and cellular phones.

In order to fix the onboard sound, you would need to replace the motherboard.
That would be throwing good money after bad.
You may want to opt for an external usb audio adapter. But you would need to use a set of external speakers or headphones.

Thank you for your response and your advice on the Audio issue. And also thanks for the links for the other drivers. The network controller worked perfectly but I cant get the PCI to detect the driver you recommended. Nor the one recommended by HP

Paul, thank you so much for all your help. Not only did you answer my question about audio, but you went further to answer all my driver issues. The answers you have given are easily understood and easy to follow. The PCI driver worked perfectly and after regestering my Windows product key, the other drivers fell in line. I have only one more issues that I hope you can help with. I used to run a 64bit but after reinstall of Windows, it says 32bit. I can no longer play high graphic games like World of Warcraft. Any advice?

You're very welcome.
You should still be running W7 x64 if you used a 64 bit installation disk.
You probably just need to install the graphics driver. However, this is only going to work on a 64 bit operating system.
This package provides the AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver and Catalyst Control Center for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. For notebooks with switchable graphics modes, this package includes drivers for both graphics processing units (GPUs). Switchable graphics enable users to switch between a power-saving graphics mode (normally used under battery power) and a high-performance graphics mode. If high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) video output is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

Probably (although I don't know how they can fit both operating systems on one DVD), but here is a link to a free W7 Home Premium x64 ISO file you can download and make your own installation media.
I cannot verify the integrity of the file because I haven't used it personally, but I did check it to see that the file size matches the genuine file you used to be able to download from Microsoft.
I have zipped up and attached a the Microsoft utility that will transfer the ISO file you download to a USB flash drive or DVD.
The utility will make either media bootable.
If you don't want to go that route, I recommend you order the HP recovery media from this 3rd party vendor at the link below. They buy up the stock of HP recovery media, after HP decides to no longer sell directly to the public for the model series.
It costs a little more, but this was made for your specific model notebook, and will automatically install all of the drivers and software that originally came with your notebook.

I went ahead and ordered from Computer Surgeons. I am not really computer savvy so your advice and answers have been most appreciated. Not to "gush" but I really appreciate your help. I may hit you up again once the discs come in. Thanks again
