I am having major audio drop outs using Serato DJ Pro that did not exist last month.

I have stripped my laptop to where it is a music only, DJ specific laptop.  I have done all the optimization/power management recommendations.

I have updated BIOS, chipsets, etc.  BTW, updating to the latest video driver actually made the latency issue more pronounced, so i uninstalled  it.  I spoke to Serato and based on the LatencyMon and diagnostic report I provided, they believe it is not their software causing the audio issues.  At this point, I cannot say I disagree.

Based on my LateceyMon reports, the main culprits causing issues have been :

ACPI.SYS

STORPORT.SYS

Are there any NEW suggestions/tricks/fixes to resolving DPC latency issues caused by Windows 10?  I am quickly coming to the conclusion that I am pretty screwed at this point unless Microsoft decides to do an update addressing the issue.

Any help / suggestions  would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • 1. Go to Start, search for Device Manager, and open this result.
  • 2. Expand batteries.
  • 3. Right-click on the ACPI option (usually the 2nd option) and select delete or uninstall. Follow the prompts.
  • 4. Shut down the computer.
  • 5. Disconnect the charger.
  • 6. Remove the battery.
  • 7. Hold down the power button for 1 minute.
  • 8. Insert the battery only.
  • 9. Attempt to turn the battery on.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
