Last week my HP Pavilion Laptop decided to delete a lot of the drivers. Now that I restored almost all of them the audio gets bad after a while. And it only happens when using the speakers (I'm sure it's not a hardware issue).

Tried updating the drivers using SDIO, the AMD setup, drivers from the HP website and nothing. The HP drivers show a message saying that the OS isn't compatible and I tried a lot of times using the AMD program that made the UWF program to malfunction that I had to revert the changes.

@dolunmo2, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing audio issues with your HP Pavilion Laptop. Here are a few steps you can follow to try to resolve the problem:

Check Windows Updates

  • Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Updates may include fixes for known issues or compatibility improvements.
  • You can check for updates by navigating to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and then click on "Check for updates".

Use HP Support Assistant

  • HP Support Assistant can help identify and install missing or outdated drivers specific to your HP device.
  • You can download and install HP Support Assistant from the HP website if it's not already installed.

Reinstall Audio Drivers

  • Sometimes reinstalling the drivers can resolve issues.
  • Uninstall the current audio driver from Device Manager and restart your laptop. Windows may automatically install the default audio driver upon reboot.

Install Drivers from HP Website

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page, enter your laptop model, and download the audio driver compatible with your OS version.
  • Check that you are selecting the correct OS when downloading the drivers.

Check Audio Enhancements

  • Disable any audio enhancements to see if this resolves the issue. Go to Control Panel > Sound, select your speakers, click "Properties", and under the "Enhancements" tab, check "Disable all enhancements".

Also, I suggest you refer to this guide: HP Notebook PCs - Advanced sound troubleshooting in Windows | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
