Hello! I have the ProBook 470 and today I had that issue suddenly. After windows 10 made a massive update (no idea) the sound initially was not working. Then windows automatically installed the driver but I had a constant buzzing sound.

I fixed it by uninstalling the conexant driver installed by Windows (by going to Device Manager->Sound, video, audio controllers-> Conexant ISST audio and uninstalling it).

Then I used HP site to identify my laptop and download the driver and install it from here - and NOT letting Windows find the "best" driver.

PS: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/laptops this is were i started to find the driver.

It solved it and now it works - hopefully you'll manage the same!
