HP Recommended

I had this problem with a previous Windows update and was able to go to the device manager, audio driver properties and rollback the driver, that was not an option this time.  I even went to HP driver site, downloaded SP141454 and installed with no change in results.  I've discovered that the headphone and Cast functions volume control works as normal.  When I performed the update, I was surprised to get a BIOS update as well and I let it happen, surprised that Windows initiates a BIOS update!  I suspect the BIOS update is the culprit.

I have to keep doing this every few months!  How can we get rid of it for good??
