Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with the sound on my HP Omen laptop. Suddenly, the sound stopped working on the built-in speakers. I noticed that the sound icon in the taskbar displays a  X and indicates that no output audio device is installed.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Downloaded and installed the latest audio drivers from the official HP website.
  • Installed all available Windows updates.
  • Checked the audio settings, but the output device does not seem to be detected.
  • The sound works fine on my AirPods via Bluetooth.

If anyone has a solution or has encountered this issue before, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue, it only happened since last night.

I managed to fix the issue by rolling back on the Windows Update. Roll back on version before, it fixes it. But you have to make sure you don't install it automatically again.
