First post (L plates on)
I have noticed numerous threads regarding Windows11 and audio issues. The common thread appears to be the operating system (Windows11), rather than the brand or model of PC.
My issue is similar to a number of the threads i.e. tinny, muffled sound, with the right channel almost inaudible despite being set to 100%. I have tried EVERYTHING; drivers, diagnostic tools, clean install, web solutions, HP community fixes etc etc. It is clear that nothing will fix this other than a return of the PC to , unless someone has a fix. It is almost a breach under the 'not fit for purpose' area of consumer law............sigh

Please try a clean install Audio driver
1. Download https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp156001-156500/sp156210.exe
and save on your computer
2. Use Device Manager to uninstall audio driver (if any),
3. Reboot machine,
4. Install downloaded file above,
5. Reboot machine.
Hope this helps.
Regards

Just to add to my original post, the sound is like, in stereo terms, ''out of phase'' . That is where on one speaker, the positive wire is placed on the negative terminal and the negative wire is placed on the positive terminal. The result is some sort of sound (tinny, muddy) from one speaker, with the other speaker barely inaudible. I have no idea regarding PC internal speaker connections, but that is what it sounds like.
This is from a laptop costing almost $3000, less than 2 months old............
