Hello - I have a brand new "System Model HP EliteDesk 800 G1 TWR" everything seems to work well so far.

I have an issue with the audio however, there are 2 audio jacks one of them shows that it's a dual audio/mic jack.
When I plug my wired headset the DTS audio control panel prompts me to choose between "line in, mic in, or headphones".
If I select headphones it works fine, obviously I can't record sounds when I select that option.
However when I select Mic in, the microphone works but then I can't play the sound of the PC through the headphones. I can play sound from the PC's speakers while the mic is working but I can't play it through the headset.
I've tried uninstalling the audio drivers through the device manager and then re-installing but that didn't fix it.

Appreciate the help, would be easier if someone could call me or have a live chat to fix this issue. thank you.

Probably that is to to the plugs. You know Mics, headphones, headsets, line ins line outs .... all have different types they may  have one ring, 2 rings, 3 rings.

You can use software such as DTS audio control panel but you also need to match hardware otherwise software won't work.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards.
