Hi @filarc,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Whether the issue happens with all audio sources (music, videos, streaming, games) or only specific apps.
  • If you’re using headphones, external speakers, or just the built-in speakers when the problem occurs.
  • Any recent updates or changes made to the system before the issue started.

In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Check audio drivers: Open Device Manager → Sound, video and game controllers → right-click Bang & Olufsen/Realtek audio device → select Update driver.
  • Run HP Support Assistant: This tool can automatically detect and fix audio issues.
  • Disable audio enhancements: Go to Sound settings → select your playback device → Properties → Enhancements tab → check “Disable all enhancements.”
  • Test with Windows Audio Troubleshooter: Right-click the speaker icon → Troubleshoot sound problems and follow the prompts.
  • Check power settings: Ensure your laptop isn’t switching audio devices or disabling components when on battery saver mode.

I hope this helps.
