Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, thank you for reading.
I have a HP Pavilion Aero 13.3 inch Laptop PC 13-BE0502LA which is still under warranty.

Today, as I was watching some videos, the speakers (both) suddenly started to sound bad, like static.

This is the first time I have had this issue. I ran the 'fix audio issue' and the system 'troubleshoot' and at the end it shows no issue found, but the audio is still bad.

Should I take it for repairs? Where?

Thank you!

Hi @Karla_M,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing audio issues with your HP Pavilion Aero laptop, there are a few steps you can take before considering repair.

  • Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches in the system.
  • Update Audio Drivers: Outdated or corrupt audio drivers can lead to audio problems. Ensure that your audio drivers are up-to-date. You can do this by going to the HP support website, finding your laptop model, and downloading the latest audio drivers.
  • Check Audio Settings: Ensure that the audio settings on your laptop are configured correctly. Make sure the volume is not set too high, and check for any audio enhancements that might be causing the issue.
  • External Devices: If you have external speakers or headphones connected, try disconnecting them to see if the issue persists.
  • Sound Test: Play audio from different sources to determine if the problem is specific to a particular app or file.
  • System Restore: If the issue began after a recent software update or installation, you can try restoring your system to a previous state when the audio was working fine.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
