I have been struggling with audio problems for over a year now. I have tried all the troubleshooters available to me and followed the suggestions, but with no success. Three things stand out: (1) the problem comes and goes--maybe a month on and a month off (2) it seemed to me that it had something to do with the speakers/headphones distinction, in that there are times when the audio does not seem to be working, but when I put on headphones, it works through them. (3) in Device manager it says the drivers are ok and up to date, but the audio driver also has this message: "Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76E0&SUBSYS_103C1966&REV_1003\4&1bcc61a9&0&0001 requires further installation."  I would be grateful for any help.
