I am having the same problem. Ever since Windows 10 update, headphone/earbud audio goes out after my computer wakes up after sleep mode. All drivers are up to date. Must restart computer to regain audio through headphone/earbud. Can anyone help me with a fix?

I am having the same issue. My audio will cut off randomly while watching videos or listening to music. Sound will not come from built in speaker or from headphones plugged into aux port. I have tried troubleshooting the problem through the audio window, but the computer does not detect any issues. Restarting the computer will fix the issue temporarily. I have yet to figure out what triggers the audio to cut off. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the realtek audio driver and fully updated windows 10 and my computer through HP and Microsoft. I am using the HP Spectre x360 512GB.
I have tried to figure out how to report the issue but HP doesnt seem to have such a feature aside from these forums. Help ASAP would be appreciated as I start online classes soon and will not be able to restarted my computer during live class feeds just to get my sound back.

Greetings,
My name is William, I want to help you up on that can you tell what's the serial number of your computer and if your computer came out with Windows 7 or Windows 8.0, 8.1 - In your case i think the problem is not causing for a virus infection or a hardware issue with your audio driver the problem i think is with the driver of your audio adapter you can repair the issue if you rempove the audio driver and then reinstall it back in order to do that you should go to Device manager and the you will need to look for it under the list in the box the thing that says auidio adapters or drivers once you get it your will need to remove all of them and reinstall them, the installation will be automatically but if is not don't worry about that Hp has created a partition on your computer that is called Recovery in that partition are all the Hp programs and Hp drivers of your computer.. If in case you need to use that partition to restore your drivers or programs your can do that if you open the program that is called Recovery manager once you get the program it will show you three differnts sections - look under the first one and the look for the option that says reinstall programs and drivers, there you will find the manufactorer audio drivers if you that the audio will back on your computer.. i will waiting for

I continue to hope that some driver will be updated to fix this problem, but so far, no change. I have to restart in order to get the speakers back. This is supposed to be a high end computer (Spectre 360) and I bought it because I assumed it was rock solid. Now, whenever I go to listen to any sound track on any website, I am never sure if I'm going to have to reboot. This is not good. I need to find another block of a few hours to get back on the support line and try to work this out.
