HP Pavilion - 15-ec1073dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Under Sound settings for both speaker and recording the option for 44.1 kHz sample rate is not available. The lowest sample rate is 48 khz.  According to windows update and HP Support Assist I have the most up to date Realtek driver (Version 6.0.9198.1).  I have tried all other HP recommended solutions on this forum. Advising customers to disable automatic updates is not a solution and puts their system at risk. I have 4 different laptop brands in my household (Dell, Asus, Lenovo and HP) that all have the same version of Windows 10 and this audio issue only occurs on the HP laptop. It is clear that either the audio chip that HP installed on the motherboard does not support the 44.1 khz sample rate or Realtek has failed to provide a driver for the audio that works correctly. Please work with Realtek to provide a solution.
