.@Banhien Thank you for that but I installed it and still get no sound. Are there other files that I need to download with it? Because at one point I deleted all files of a certain realtek driver, and I am not sure if there are 'supporting files'. That said, the realtek driver from 2015 works (except for the aforementioned lisp problem). Generic driver works too but sound is low and horrible. And still lispy lol. I tried sytem restore before too and it won't work because it says can't access a file. which suspiciously, looks to be an audio file.

The support page only has Audio driver from 2016. Please try the following newer driver

 

               https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp103501-104000/sp103883.exe
