I was just using my laptop when the audio got real loud. I held the down button unitll it hit 0 and nothing happened to the audio until it hit zero. If i held down the audio at 0, it would make a very loud buzzing. This is very aggrevating as to restart and shutting down has not done anything. It even does this with headphones. If i could get an answer i would appreciate it greatly. ( It has Bang and Olufson audio drivers i think)

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand the Audio is stuck at 100% and also creates a buzzing noise on your computer,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

What is the product number of your product? Use this link to find it: Click here (Edited)

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues? Have you attempted a system restore?

Does the issue occur with a headphone or earphone connected to the PC?

While you respond to the above, here's a few things you need to know:

  • Try with an external speaker or earphones to identify the issue.
  • Reinstall the audio drivers
  • Update the drivers using the HP Website: Click here to access.
  • Update the BIOS using the above link.

Keep me posted,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.

Hi thank you. When i press on the link it says it doesnt exist. I have tried restarting and shutting off the laptop as well as not use any volume. It worked about 3 days before i posted my complaint. And yes it does occur when headphones are plugged in. I will attempt to update and reinstall drivers if i can figure out how to.
