Product: HP ENVY 17T-J100 QUAD EDITION CTO
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The audio volume from the laptop's internal sound system is way too low after upgrade to Windows 10.

Turned up all the way in any app & in the laptop's audio control, it's just loud enough for me to hear it.

(The person using this laptop is hard of hearing & this feeble audio level is totally unacceptable.)

 

Drivers are up to date according to MS's own tester, & checking against the HP drivers available.  I've re-installed them

and re-tested.

I've done numerous checklists findable on google, such as this one:

(Setting loudness equalization got the volume to the point where I could hear it, but not the laptop's user.)

The MS audio troubleshooter didn't find or change anything noticeable.

 

What can be done to bring back the missing audio volume?  Thanks!
