My laptop sound will work fine one minute and then all the sudden it sounds like there is interference. I have checked all my audio drives and they are up to date. I will restart my computer when this happens and that sometimes fixes the problem, but not all the time.

@Shay12 here's what you need to know:

The audio troubleshooting tool in Windows can automatically fix common audio recording and audio playback problems with your computer.

  1. In Windows, search for find and fix audio, and then select Find and fix audio playback problems or Find and fix audio recording problems from the results.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Select the device you want to troubleshoot, and then click Next.
  4. Wait while the troubleshooter detects problems and makes changes (or prompts you to make changes).
  5. When the troubleshooter is done, the Troubleshooting has completed page is displayed, listing any problems found and what changes were made to the computer.

NOTE: For detailed information about the troubleshooting, click View detailed information in the troubleshooter window.

The best way to do that is using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:

Click here to access it (simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).
