Hi @Shawncd,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can help you troubleshoot the audio issue on your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop. Let's go through a few steps to identify and resolve the problem:

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting for No Audio

1. Check Audio Output Device

  • Click the sound icon in the taskbar.
  • Make sure the correct output device (e.g., "Speakers – Realtek", or your headset) is selected.

2. Run Windows Audio Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > System > Sound > Troubleshoot.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and fix audio issues.

3. Check Device Manager

  • Press Win + X > Device Manager > Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
  • Look for any yellow warning signs.
  • Right-click your audio device (e.g., Realtek, AMD, NVIDIA) > Update driver.

4. Reinstall Audio Drivers

  • Go to HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop Drivers Page: Official HP® Support.
  • Enter your exact model number (e.g., "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2xxx").
  • Download and install the latest audio drivers (usually Realtek or AMD/NVIDIA for HDMI audio).

5. BIOS Audio Settings

  • Restart your laptop and enter BIOS (usually by pressing Esc or F10 during boot).
  • Ensure audio is enabled in BIOS settings.

6. Check for Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update and install any pending updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
