Hi there,

I have created an equaliser preset to make the speakers sound the way I like, but the setting "EQ Control - Advanced - On" does not stay on after a restart of the computer, so each time I want to enjoy music, I have to go back into the B&O app and re-select my preset. Can I save my preset permanently?

Thank you - Olaf

Hi@Olaf_168, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Try the following.

Download the Conexant HD Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp80001-80500/sp80327.exe

When done, hold down the Windows key and press R

Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.

In Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the Conexant device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.

When complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78501-79000/sp78642.exe

When the Chipset reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello Praveenbv,

thank you so much for your help, but when I open the Sound, Video and Games Controller folder in Device Manager, I do not see any Conexant device. I see four things:

1. Intel Smart Sound Technology for Digital Microphones

2. Realtek Audio

3. Redmi A2DP SNK

4. Redmi Hands-Free HF Audio

The issue with the B&O Equaliser occurred before I paired my Redmi with the laptop. So do I have to uninstall the "Realtek Audio" item? I read that the B&O equaliser is just a skin for Realtek Audio.

Thank you in advance,

Olaf
