Pavilion 15-bc551nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A few days back when I bought this laptop the sound was pretty bad. I tried updating the drivers with the HP Support Assistant but it kept saying that the driver was not supported on this OS (???). I also noticed that my headset microphone didn't work. When I plugged my headset in the audio jack it still used the default microphone. How can I fix this problem because it's pretty annoying. Especially when you buy a brand new laptop...

In my case, after windows 10 update 1903, sound and microphone are working, but mic input is unrecognizably distorted, rendering it useless.

The audio is Realtek+B&O, the laptop is Envy 13-ah0xxx

The update above did not change anything.
