OMEN Laptop - 15-en0000nc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I bought a new latop 2 days ago and I am having issues with the speakers, specifically that the sound is very low quality (possibly a driver issue). I have tried the drivers from the support site, several ones - including the ones for the en00xxx series, none worked.

I have been trying to uninstall - reinstall these drivers, but nothing happens, it still shows:

And in device manager:

I would assume, since these are higher quality speakers, the correct "driver" should read "Realtek High Definition Audio", as it does in my other laptop from a different brand with JBL speakers.

Also I can access OMEN audio Control, but as you can see here, I think these shouldnt be the actual customising options of said speakers - e.g. missing bass and other things to set up (the speaker sounds like a stock speaker from the 2000's).

Also before that is mentioned, my command center seems to work properly (Omen Gaming Hub).

I am getting a little helpless here, since it is a new naked laptop. Anyone could help me out?

Thanks.

@fkdn

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio quality.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp110001-110500/sp110332.exe

Once the BIOS is updated, test the audio. If you continue facing the issue, then uninstall the audio driver from device manager and then download and install the driver from the below link.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
