I used to have a Bang and Olufsen app that created fantastic sound. Now, it has disappeared, and in scanning this board, I can't find anything that seems to fix the problem. I have applied all updates that the support ap recomends (except for Windows 11), and the B&O isn't even under the HP audio switch as some posts suggest.
Any help appreciated.
Bill M.
P.S. One last thing: the roll back driver option isn't available in device driver. Thx.

I thought I would add one thing in case it helps:
I am running:
Edition Windows 10 Home
Version 21H1
Installed on 5/19/2021
OS build 19043.1348
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0
So that I can use wsl2 and ubuntu. I don't use that for audio though, that should be standard windows.

Hi@Bill_M_envy,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
`You have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to be checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.
I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Praveenbv,
Thanks much for the reply.
Unless I went to the wrong place, HP Support Chat was a bot that didn't really help. My machine is out of warranty so HP wants to charge me $100 to help fix it. That seemed quite steep to me since all I really want to do is reinstall the software that came with my pc.
The way to do that is not obvious because none of the sound drivers that HP recommends work with Windows 10 21H1 (which I needed to install for WSL2.) It is too bad because I love the PC for everything but this problem. But it is irritating enough so that I find myself recommending other brands of PC over HP, as well as reminding people that the Bang and Olufson brand isn't worth anywhere near what it was before (I also reached out to them and they were no help either.)
At this point, I think I just have to live without fixing the sound and move on. I will get a new laptop after the new year, and use my trusty old HP for checking email.
Best

You have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to check to get to know its hardware is faulty, not a software issue.
I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.
