Product: HP Envy Laptop 17-bw0xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I updated some drivers and now I can only hear faint audio that is very distorted. I have downloaded and installed the required audio driver from the HP website but that was no help.  This happened before every time windows did an update and I would go to HP's site and download the audio driver for windows 8 and that would solve my problem.  I have been working on this for hours now and nothing is working.

What is your HP Envy Laptop 17-bw0xxx  ? Are you sure it uses Beats ? If yes, please download and install

 

             https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71886.exe

or older

            https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.exe

I thought I did because when I had issues before I followed instructions to go back to the windows 8 beats driver and it worked.  I just tried the downloads you sent and neither of them worked. 

 

Update:  I realized the issues I had with beats was with my previous laptop.  Sorry about that!
