To try and fix the problems I have tried to uninstall the Realtek Audio software and restart the laptop but there was no change so I did a whole system reset.
Please can you advise me as to what to do because the laptop is new and I don’t want to download bad software
Thank You

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Have you tested the computer with a different headset?
If you are facing issues with a different headset as well then, the issue is with the port and I recommend you contact support to check the available service options.
If other headphones are working fine then, the issue might be with the headphone.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!
Cheers!
