just got a new HP pavillion 14 plus laptop with AMD 7840u from store and i notice that the audio is acting weird. with my previous Lenovo there were no issues but here it seems that there is some driver bug or whatever.
First when a Logitech c925e webcam is connected to the latop the Windows audio service gets killed. (strangely) If you read on the internet this happens more often the past months. On the MS forum there is a solution but this worked only temporary. first I saw in the lower right corner NO AUDIO DEVICE INSTALLED. with the audio service as lokal (see the MS solution) it worked again as should but only for a morning... now i see the speaker icon. but no sound. I ofcourse ran all updates and tried to instal the audiodriver from the HP site.
So both audio, speakers from the LG monitor via USB-C as well as the internal spekers when unplugged (and rebooted) dont work...
(The audio service also gets killed when the Logitech webcam is connected directly to the laptop)

Small update few days later:
I removed the Logitech C925e webcam and tested a Microsoft webcam. This all worked fine so I keep that one.
HOWEVER NOW THE USB-C MONITOR DOESN'T GIVE PICTURE ALL THE SUDDEN. I did not install a driver or anything, just took and returned the laptop to the monitor. The usb pheriperals connected to the monitor work, but not the video or sound. It doesn't detect the monitor all the sudden.... Even after installing the AMD drivers directly from AMD.
Getting a bit disappointed 😞
UPDATE: this worked to get the usb-c screen back:
1 - Shut down the laptop
2 - Press and HOLD the power button down for 30 seconds
3 - Start the laptop up again
