Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I baught the OMEN 17-cb0011nv gaming laptop a few days ago, and the built-in microphone never worked, although I tried almost everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the microphone issue.

 

Please try these steps - HP PCs - Resolving Microphone Problems

 

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hi Asmita,

thank you for the response.

I had tried all the steps mentioned in the link you sent (except #3 - troubleshooting) but nothing seemed to repair the problem.

In the device manager everything seemed OK, i attempted driver update, but in vain.

At last i did a clean install of windows 10 and the problem was solved.

In any case it's worth trying to find what was the problem, but i don't want to deal with it any more.
