Hello, please help.

I need to learn how to record an interview, edit it etc. Where do I find the microphone on my laptop and how to turn it on and use it?   T.I.A. (thanking you in anticipation).

@Gumnut

Firstly we need to know what is your machine. Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

Normally you can record sound with your laptop but to edit sound you need software which can be free or you have to pay for it.

Regards.

This is a series of MANY different machines but in general, you can find the location of microphone or microphones

You did not answer my question therefore I can't say more. Please try

As mentioned before, you NEED a sound editor  to be able edit sound, you can try the following free software

     http://www.techradar.com/news/the-best-free-audio-editor

Note: I have not tested them. I use Nero sound editor (payable version).

Thanks for your reply.

I have now downloaded an editor called Audacity which I'm told is very good. I am getting used to it now 🙂 Thanks again.
