HP Stream 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is this type of headset compatible?

https://www.amazon.com/Cyber-Acoustics-AC-201-Headset-microphone/dp/B0002QLQ96/

If not, how can I get a good sounding microphone/headphone combo into the laptop?

If no combo is possible - will it take a USB based microphone and I'd use headphones separately?

Thanks

What is your HP Stream, I believe it has headphones/microphone combo port. From the link, it has

Dual plugs - easy to use: Uses two 3. 5mm plugs, one for the microphone, one for the headphones, perfect for computers with separate connections for each.

That means you have to get an adapter to combine two pink and green in one. For example

            https://www.amazon.com.au/UGREEN-External-Headphone-Microphone-Computers/dp/B016CU2PEU/ref=sr_1_19?a...

You can buy an headsets with headphones/microphone combo plug OR USB headsets for example:

Regards.

Thanks for the speedy reply

It's this laptop https://www.amazon.co.uk/HP-Stream-14-ax000na-14-inch-Laptop/dp/B01LZE0B5Z

Will this USB headset work in a simple plug and play setup?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-2227812-H390-USB-Headset-Black/dp/B005BFCNYU?th=1

I want to mute the on board built in mic on the laptop and use the mic on the headset instead

Is this possible?

Will i need to do anything in Settings?

Thanks
