Can i connect my type c earphones in the type c ports which are on right side of my laptop

i just had a doubt, I have type c earphones. So on the right side of my laptop, there are 2 type c ports. Can I use my earphones in them? If so, which one should I use? The one beside USB Type A or the one near the rear end of my laptop? I have been using the one near the rear end to charge the PC.
