My HP Spectre micropbone cannot be found.  How do I reinstall the drivers?

Is the audio sound working?  If the audio is working then it is likely the system is looking for the wrong microphone.

 

Bring up sound settings and make sure your audio input device is the microphone you want. You may have a webcam microphone in addition to a system microphone.  If the audio input is selected for the audio input cable then it's going to ignore the other microphone even if there is no microphone connected to the headset jack.

 

If the audio doesn't work then that's the driver problem
