Hi @Raccoon56,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To resolve the issue with your Bang & Olufsen (B&O) audio software on your HP Victus 16, you can follow these steps.
Uninstall the Realtek Driver:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
- Right-click on the Realtek High Definition Audio device and select Uninstall device.
- Check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device" and click Uninstall.
- Restart your computer.
Download and Install the Latest Realtek Audio Driver:
- Visit the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
- Enter your HP Victus 16 model number.
- Select your operating system.
- Download the latest Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver from the list.
- Install the driver and restart your computer.
Download and Install the HP Audio Control (B&O) Software:
- Sometimes, the B&O software is bundled with the Realtek audio driver, but if it's not installed automatically, you can download it separately.
- Visit the Microsoft Store.
- Search for "HP Audio Control" or "Bang & Olufsen Audio Control" and download the app.
Reinstall HP Support Assistant (Optional but recommended):
- Download and install the HP Support Assistant.
- Run the HP Support Assistant and check for any updates, especially for audio drivers and related software.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
- Restart your computer if necessary.
After following these steps, your B&O audio application should be restored, and you should have access to the audio enhancements it provides.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
