Hi @Reggaejee

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand your concern that your having issue in finding the audio driver which is missing in the device manager, I appreciate the effort that you have put in performing the troubleshooting steps. Dont worry let me help you with this.

Kindly follow the below steps and confirm:

Verify BIOS Settings (Link for reference steps - click here )

  • Enter BIOS Setup (usually by pressing F10 during startup).
  • Check if the Audio Device option is enabled. If the BIOS does not detect audio hardware, it may indicate a hardware or firmware issue.

 Clean Driver Installation

  • Open Device Manager → expand Sound, video and game controllers.
  • If Realtek is missing, go to Programs and Features and uninstall any existing Realtek audio software.
  • Restart your PC.
  • Reinstall the driver from the official HP support page you shared.
  • Ensure you run the installer as Administrator.

Windows Update & HP Support Assistant

  • Run Windows Update and install all pending updates.
  • Open HP Support Assistant → check for driver and firmware updates.
  • Sometimes the audio driver is bundled with chipset or BIOS updates.

Hardware Diagnostics (Link for steps - click here )

  • Since BIOS audio test failed, run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) from startup.
  • If the audio device is not detected here, it strongly suggests a hardware-level issue.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
