Hello,
I am trying to use a combination headset through the laptops combination 3.5mm audio input. This headset did work previously, though I had to plug/unplug it several times for it to function as a headset. That no longer seems to work.
It now displays only as a headphone, stating the microphone is unplugged. I have reinstalled the Realtek Audio driver, ran both the Windows and HP audio troubleshooter programs, and thoroughly checked through any audio settings and properties. It seems older laptops would allow you to select whether the device was a headphone or a headset, but I have not found such options on this particular device.
The only audio software I can find is the Bang & Olufsen Audio Control, but this provides no options to change from headphone to headset. Realtek Audio Control is not available on Windows 11.
The headset works with other devices without issue.
I've hit a wall on this issue, so any advice would be appreciated!
