Hi @TMC5D,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To configure your HP Chromebook audio settings to use Bluetooth only for output, you can follow these steps.

  • Open Settings: Click on the system tray in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Then click on the gear icon to open Settings.
  • Navigate to Bluetooth Settings: In the Settings menu, look for the section labeled "Connected devices" or "Bluetooth." Click on it to open the Bluetooth settings.
  • Connect Bluetooth Device: Make sure your Bluetooth speaker or headphones are turned on and in pairing mode. Then, click on "Add Bluetooth device" or a similar option to search for and connect your Bluetooth device to the Chromebook.
  • Select Output Device: Once your Bluetooth device is connected, go back to the system tray and click on the clock to open the Quick Settings menu. Then click on the volume icon.
  • Choose Output Device: In the volume settings, you should see a dropdown menu or an option to select the output device. Choose your Bluetooth device from the list.
  • Adjust Volume: You can adjust the volume using the slider in the volume settings.
  • Optional: If you want to ensure that audio-only goes through the Bluetooth device, you might also want to disable the built-in speakers. However, this step might not be necessary, as selecting the Bluetooth device as the output should automatically route all audio through it.

That's it! Your HP Chromebook should now be set up to use Bluetooth only for audio output.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
