Compaq Armada E700
Other

Hi!

I have a Compaq Armada E700 with Windows 98 SE with no sound.

My E700 started to, well, have issues, so I had to format it and install a fresh Windows 98 SE.
Now, everything works, except for audio (and NIC but that's not necessary at the moment).

I have successfully installed all other drivers, such as ATI Rage, peripheral devices, touchpad etc. but I can't get my audio working. I could find some old databases where I downloaded audio drivers (drivers are for Maestro sound card, but I don't remember it having Maestro sound card). Also my DVD drive stopped working right after installing Windows and a few drivers. Luckily I was able to get my old Sandisk USB to work before I lost my DVD.

I'm sure HP has an online "safe" or a place where they've stored every possible driver for E700 with Windows 98. Maybe someone in the community has those drivers?

Could someone please send me every file and installer required to run E700 with Windows 98? Trust me, I've tried to look for drivers from everywhere around the internet, but none has gotten my audio working. I even tried every possible Sound Blaster.
I was also thinking about updating my Win98, but that is also something I can't do since I can't install NIC drivers (trust me, I've tried) and I've tried to find those everywhere, but none works.

In short: Please, someone send me every driver, or the driver installation disc's image, that Armada E700 needs.
