Compaq Presario CQ42-173TU Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 11

I know i have a old laptop , i recently installed windows 11 on my Compaq Presario CQ42 173TUand after that firstly my mic stopped working , then I had to get the screen replaced as the original was glitching and the new screen's highest resolution 1280x800 while it was supposed to be 1366x768 this is a plobrem but now my speakers have also stopped working they show in the device manager but no sound comes from them , i have reinstalled the drivers and everything.

So the main plobrems are that screen resolution is less resulting in 1/8 aprrox. of the display not being seen , and speaker doesn't work . i have tried Qres and CRU and custom resolution in my laptop but nothing worked

Olá @Agam_2504, how are you ?

Please, this equipment is older, so some drivers won't actually install.

Try the sites below as a compatible driver search:

Ma-Config; Driver Easy; Driver Booster; Drivers Collection

Best regards
