Hi @Erickk1

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering an issue with your Connextent Audio driver. This pop-up usually indicates that there's a problem with the audio driver or its configuration, leading to the audio service failing. Here are a few steps you can take to fix this problem:

1. Restart Your Computer

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues with audio drivers. So, try restarting your computer and see if the issue persists.

2. Update or Reinstall the Audio Drivers

  • Update Driver:
    • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
    • In the Device Manager, expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
    • Right-click on the Connextent Audio device and select Update driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and let Windows search for the latest driver.
  • If Windows doesn't find a new driver or if it doesn't resolve the issue, try reinstalling the driver:
    • Right-click on the Connextent Audio device in Device Manager.
    • Select Uninstall device.
    • After uninstallation, restart your computer, and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver automatically.

3. Check Audio Services

  • The Windows Audio service may not be running correctly.
    • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
    • In the Services window, scroll down and find Windows Audio.
    • Right-click on Windows Audio and select Restart.
    • Ensure that the service is set to Automatic. To do this, right-click the service, select Properties, and in the Startup type dropdown, select Automatic. Click Apply.

I hope this helps.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
