HP Pavilion Notebook 15-P201tx

Hello there, I'm not able to get the audio drivers for my laptop(HP Pavilion Notebook P-201tx) in the drivers' website(support.hp.com/drivers).

Kindly let me know any .exe file that anyone could help me with. Because the audio in my laptop is terribly cracked and thought of upgrading it with audio drivers. Else I need to physically replace the speakers.

Hoping for a quick reply, if anyone reaches out to this.

Regards,

Rahul M. Mehta

Hi @rahul_mehta-79

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It’s frustrating to deal with cracked audio, but let’s see if we can get your HP Pavilion 15-P201TX back to sounding smooth! If you can’t find the audio drivers on HP’s official website, here’s what you can do:

1. Windows Update for Driver Updates

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Click "Check for Updates" to let Windows search and install the latest audio drivers available.

2. Use HP Support Assistant

If you haven’t already, download the HP Support Assistant from HP's website.

Open it and let it automatically detect and update all the necessary drivers for your laptop.

3. Uninstall and Reinstall Drivers

Press Win + X and select Device Manager.

Expand the "Sound, video, and game controllers" section.

Right-click your audio driver (e.g., Realtek High Definition Audio), select "Uninstall device," and restart your laptop. Windows will attempt to reinstall the missing driver automatically.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
