Hello!
First time I post something because I'm searching way too long for this problem which I can't solve by my own. I went also to some music shops who try to help me but still no one can.
I read and tried many things people share on forums about the same kind of problem.
I try to explain good as possible in my way of English.
Cuz here it is; I bought a new laptop to use to work with Ableton ive, HP ENVY X360 15-DR1300ND. Here are some specs:
- Intel® Core™ i7-10510U
- 1000 GB SSD
- NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250 4GB
- 16 GB RAM
Sounds pretty good right? Enough to play music with Traktor. Anyway, while i'm playing I hear constantly cracking sounds throught my speakers. Sounds a little bit like you play some vinyl record but in a bad way. Hard to explain exactly. Also on my headphone I hear this ofcourse.
I try on different speakers as well, different traktor tables, replace cables, and tried on different locations, but all the same.
However, with my old windows laptop which got less of all the specs I don't have this problem.
Both laptops got a 3.0 usb port. I tried with 2.0 and 3.0 USB hub with own power supply but didn't work.
I tried many things, set-up everything as good as possible people and NI wrote on internet for your laptop settings. Sometimes the cracking sounds was loud and other times less. But I could't tell on which moments.
This problem many people had and for some people it was super easy to solve, others never found the solution..
So i'm sure it has to do something with this laptop. Some settings, or something else I didn't find yet. Maybe here someone got a new solution for me and ofcourse for many others.
Greetings,
Koen

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio on the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.
The audio troubleshooter might be able to fix audio problems automatically.
To run the troubleshooter
- In the search box on the taskbar, type audio troubleshooter, select Fix and find problems with playing sound from the results, then select Next.
- Select the device you want to troubleshoot and then continue through the troubleshooter.
You can also launch the troubleshooter from audio Settings. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound > Troubleshoot.
If running the troubleshooter doesn't help, continue to the next tip.
Verify that all Windows Updates are installed
To check for updates
- Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
- Do one of the following:
- If the status says "You're up to date, go to the next tip.
- If the status says "Updates are available," select Install now.
- Select the updates you want to install, then select Install.
- Restart your PC and see if your sound is working properly.
If that didn't solve your problem, continue to the next tip.
Set your audio device as the default device
If you're connecting to an audio device using USB or HDMI, you might need to set that device as the default device.
- In the search box on the taskbar, type control panel, then select it from the results.
- Select Hardware and Sound from the Control Panel, and then select Sound.
- On the Playback tab, right-click the listing for your audio device, select Set as Default Device, and then select OK.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!
Cheers

I'm sorry that I didn't reply sooner. I found that I had problem with latency because of "icpy.sys", it gave more then 5 latency. But after I turn this application off I had some other problems for example I couldn't see my battery icon anymore.
After searching and trying many things I was getting so tired of this problem. Because it shouldn't be such a big issue. Specially not something that I have to change deeply in the windows system to solve a latency problem on a super new model.
I loved the laptop, nice shape, fast and new. But I gave it back and bought a MacBook Pro. With this one I have zero problems and work really good for production and mixing.
I find it really pitty but I was searching for almost 2months by myself and others to get this solved. In the end there was no solution
