This issue was resolved about a year and a half ago through software updates.  I want to thank you for all your support, especially since I thought I was struggling alone through this.  There are more recent models of the Spectre x360, and even though I think our first edition is a far superior model, we can't deny that our models will soon be out of production, or this issue will no longer be relevant due to the abundance of updates available since the beginning.

 

I will be closing this forum as a problem solved soon.

 

If you ever experience this problem follow the steps below in the order listed until it is resolved:

 

1) Attempt installing the latest software drivers direct from the hp website. 

2) Make sure you have applied all the updates in HP Support Assistant

3) Seek help from Microsoft to reinstall the Windows 10 OS remotely

4) Seek help from HP to resolve this remotely

5) Ask for it to get taken in to be looked at.
