Microsoft Windows 11

Hello. Since two days ago I had issues with my audio. As shown in the picture below there is an X next to the audio icon.

no sound.png

I have already troubleshoot, it did not work. Neither did updating the driver. (Bear in mind I did restart after almost every completed step). I have used this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngSLKrj4bYE&t=303s for reference and to see if it will help me but also no. (I tried everything until 4:43 as nothing was coming up under the 'sound: playback').

Any other tips or possible solutions? I'd appreciate every help.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting audio issues, I am glad to assist you.

Update the Bios, chipset, and drivers using HP Support Assistant.

Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here

  • HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
  • Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  • Click Updates in the My notebook pane
  • Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  • Updates list in HP Support Center
  • Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  • Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  • Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also, ensure Windows is up to date.

  • Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for trying to help me! Unfortunately this did not help. It still shows me that there's no audio. Im really not sure what else to do.. I have been going over other users' posts downloading some possible driver etc.
