Ok I have an HP envy and would like to use Dolby Surround through my hdmi cable to my TV and yamaha surround system since our laptop is our primary source of Netflix BUT need Dolby surround out...... Help

This product is built into Microsoft Edge that means you have to use Microsoft Edge as default browser for Netflix. I believe HP does not supply Dolby Digital Surround (a paid license) on normal Audio drivers on HP machines.

 

You can try Audio driver for your machine BUT what is your HP Envy because HP has dozens of generations and hundreds of different models/products called HP Envy notebooks/laptops.

 

Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).

We have been watching Netflix and You Tube videos with no problems at all . I just wish they were being transmitted from laptop to tv or amp in Dolby Surround

Your machine is an HP ENVY m7-n109dx Notebook PC, its specs

 

     https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04866083

 

which shows it does not have Dolby Digital sound option. The latest Audio driver for it    Realtek 6.0.1.7661 Rev.A therefore even with newer driver (if available) I don't think it has Dolby.
